We were blessed to help a Mother and her son through their darkest times. Her email made our day:
"Finding Chabad Lifeline has been nothing short of a blessing for both my son and myself. As a single mother and sole provider, with a history of battling my own addictions, it was incredibly difficult to watch my son struggle with chronic anxiety and addictive online behaviours. He became very withdrawn, anti-social, and was even harming himself from the stress. Teachers thought it was ADD or ADHD, but deep down I knew it was his anxiety and depression.
For a long time, he refused to speak to anyone, and I felt helpless. Then, by chance, I discovered Chabad Lifeline through a workshop, and it changed everything. When my son was finally ready to see someone, Bill welcomed him with kindness and compassion. After just a few sessions, I saw a transformation—my son stood taller, made more eye contact, and even began opening up in ways I hadn’t seen before.
Later, when Ivan stepped in as his counsellor, it was as if the timing was perfect. My son connected with him instantly and, with Ivan’s support, began stepping into his own confidence—working out, starting conversations, and becoming more social. For the first time, I could see my son building himself into a stronger, healthier version of who he’s meant to be.
What makes Chabad Lifeline so unique is not just the incredible counsellors, but the environment itself. Every visit feels welcoming, supportive, and full of heart. Even I found healing through the resources, conversations with the rabbi, and the sense of community. It’s a place where both my son and I are growing together.
I am beyond grateful to Chabad Lifeline. They’ve given my son the tools, encouragement, and safe space he needed to overcome his struggles—and in the process, they’ve also helped me heal.
This organization is truly a gift, and I cannot thank them enough."
